We just found out from a friend of ours that she got us tickets to see ELMO Live tomorrow night 2/28/09. Oh Melissa is going to have so much fun. I will post pictures on Sunday.

Over the last 3 days the weather here in Texas has been nice. It has been in the high 70's or even the high 80's. Melissa and I took time to out of our day to enjoy the weather. One day we went for a walk and feed the ducks and the other days we spent at our favorite park. This park is a huge wood playground. It's great for little ones and the big kids. Melissa loves to run around and explore. She does spend most of her time in the swings. We are ready for spring and summer to get here so we can spend more time outside.

Paul's brother Dan is in town all week for work, so he came over and had dinner with us. Melissa is going through the shy stage so she didn't warm up to Uncle D at first. She does this with everyone who isn't Mommy or Dada. Once she warmed up to Uncle D he was her best friend.
Melissa's 2nd Haircut
On Monday I took Melissa over to Aunt Laura's to have her cut Melissa's hair. It was more cutting her bangs. I love putting Melissa's hair in piggy tails so I didn't want to much of her hair cut off. Melissa's bangs needed to be cut. Here is what she looks like with her bangs cut.

2009 Great Strides Walk

Today is the LOVE Day or Valentine's Day! One thing about it, I'm lucky to have a great loving husband, he is lucky to have a great loving wife and we are both lucky to have a wonderful loving daughter.
I can't believe it's our 300th post. It took us two years to get to 300, but it has been fun blogging about our life. Thanks for following us and welcome to our new friends.

Melissa received a present yesterday via UPS. It was cookie mix from Axcan Pharma. This is the company that gives Melissa free enzymes and vitamins. I was very shocked when I opened the package up. The note on the card read

Melissa received some bath tub crayons from Santa. I have been putting off giving these to her. Melissa loves coloring and I was afraid that I would not be able to get her out of the tub. Let's just say it has been a battle to get her out of the tub. She has fun and that is what counts. Here is a picture of her art work.

Today we received a package in the mail from Florida! My Aunt and Uncle sent us fresh oranges from their tree! They also sent Melissa some video's! That was a special treat to have fresh oranges for an afternoon snack!

On Tuesday Melissa and I went over to our friends Kaelyn and Lena's. It had been about 4 months since the girls had seen each other. It took Kaelyn a while to warm up to Melissa. We had some battles over blankets, but they are still friends. After the girls played awhile and Lena and I talked we head out to eat for lunch. We took the girls to Chick Fil a. Melissa loves their chicken nuggets.

Sunday we spent the evening with our friends watching the Super Bowl. We had good food and great fellowship. Melissa had a blast playing with the big kids and entertaining all the adults. She was eating up all the attention. She would dance, sing for all of us and loved it when we all would clap and praise her. At one point during the game our friend Mr. Brian was really talking to the T.V. Even though he never said any bad words he did say something while Melissa was in the room.
Brian was mad at the call of the play and said "That is Horse Crap" two seconds later Melissa "Horse Crap" "Horse Crap". The whole room filled with laughter. I could not stop laughing. This is one of those times you just had to be there. I just hope she doesn't remember those words and says them some place that would not be funny! Thanks Brian!

My 1st Skype Baby Shower

Yesterday I attended my friends baby shower. Amy and her husband moved to Paris, they are missionaries over there. Amy & Chad are expecting their 1st child in March. Amy's Church family wanted to have a baby shower for them. How do you have a shower for the mother if she isn't here? Thanks to the advance technology we had it via Skype. Amy could see and hear everything. It was neat to be able to talk to her. Each person opened their own gift in front of the TV/laptop so Amy could see the gifts. It was a lot of fun!
