Well, I've made it to the 2 week appointments. Next appoitment is April 11th. Baby Liberto is growing and moving around. Her heartbeat is still at 150. Dr. Lee said as Baby Liberto gets bigger and runs out of room her heartbeat will drop. Until the next post have a good rest of the week and weekend.

Week 27th!

Sunday, March 25, 2007

Well today is the start of Month Seven (27-30 weeks).

Depending on what website or book you read, it's saying we are in the third trimester.

This is the home stretch for you and your baby. The child inside you is still tiny, but she will double in size between now and her birth. Even more important, her brain will grow by leaps and bounds.
These months are heavy hitters when it comes to cognitive, or mental, development. By the end of the seventh month, your baby's brain will have the capacity of a newborn's. She will be able to see, hear, smell, and learn. As strange as it may seem, during the last months of your pregnancy your child will share many of your daily experiences. Your alarm buzzing in the morning. Or the sound of the phone ringing and cars honking on the street.
Your baby is already discovering things about the world, and you're her guide. This unique relationship begins now. How it develops is up to you.

Paul finally got to feel his little girl punching or kicking me! He was so happy to feel her. I have also noticed my stomach moving! She is really starting to show off! The ladies at work got to feel her and see my stomach move.

I have my doctor's appointment on March 28th. I'm sure I will be starting the 2 week appointments soon.

We have been busy getting the apartment ready for our little girl. Her room is almost done. I will post pictures once it's complete.

Paul and I are happy it's spring, but our allergies have been out of control. We need the rain to wash all the pollen out of the air! You should see our vehicles they have a green film on them. I guess we just need to take them to the car wash and then it will rain.

Good News!

Got the call from Dr. Lee's office today and my blood work came back good. I don't have gestational diabetes!

What a week!

Tuesday, March 6, 2007

I went in to have my glucose test done and everything was going good. The drink wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It tasted like an Orange soft drink. Well the hour was up for me to have my blood drawn, but they could not find a vein. I was so dehydrated! My doctors office told me I could not eat or drink anything after midnight. So I did what they told me. The lab said it was OK to drink water. I have to go back in the morning and do this all over again.

Wednesday, March 7, 2007

Today was a busy day for me. I went in and had the glucose test done again and this time it worked. I had plenty of water. After that my mom and I went for my sonogram appointment. We got to see our Little girl playing with her feet and sticking out her tongue. My mom is just so amazed with the whole sonogram thing. She didn't get to do this with my sister and I. It's just so amazing what technology can do these days. The sonogram Doctor said that Baby Liberto was measuring and weighing at 24 weeks. So let's pray that I don't have diabetes and that I'm just going to be all belly! Here are two picture of Baby Liberto.

Her foot (24 weeks)

Her face (24 weeks)

Tonight I had an awards banquet for work. My friend and co-worker Lena was there so we took pictures. Lena is due on March 13th. We like our black dresses they hide the belly some.

Thursday, March 8, 2007

Today at work we had another baby shower for Marla, the other lady in my department who is due on April 11th. We took another picture of all three of us. We have changed since Lena's baby shower!

Paul putting the baby bed together

March 4, 2007 (Sunday night)

We have been so blessed, our friends Rick and Renae gave us their baby bed and bedding. God has been so good to us. Here is a picture of Paul putting the bed together and the finished product. The colors are going to be purple, lime green and some pink. This isn't the best picture of the bedding. We are just now starting to decorate the room. We will update the blog once we get the room all finished.

24th week

Month six (23-26 weeks)

I had a doctors appointment on Friday and Dr. Lee is concern about how I'm measuring. She said I'm measuring bigger than I should be at this time. So she is having me take my gestational diabetes test early. She wants to rule out that I don't diabetes. Some women develop diabetes durning pregnancy, even though they have no previous history of the disease. If I do have diabetes, the baby could grow faster than normal.

So on Tuesday, March 6th I will have the test done. I hear it is just so much fun having to fast and then drink this sugar mixture. So please be praying for me that I don't have diabetes.

On the other hand Dr. Lee wants me to have another sonogram done to see the weight and length of our girl. On Wednesday, March 7th we get to see our little girl again! This time I will make sure we get a picture of her so we can post it on the blog.
