Yes, that's right I'm going to be a stay at home mom! Paul and I feel it's the best thing for Melissa that I stay home with her and make sure she gets the best care. I'm sad to be leaving Southwest Airlines after 9 1/2 years, but it's what God what's me to do.
Melissa is already changing and I just can't imagine not be there for all her 1st!

We have been busy this week meeting with friends. Melissa is going to have lots of friends to play with.
We had lunch with Stephanie and Haven on Tuesday. Haven is 1 year older than Melissa. On Wednesday we went to Lena and Kaelyn's for lunch. Kaelyn is 5 months older than Melissa.

Saturday night we had our friends Chris, Nelly and Everly over for dinner. This was the first time Melissa and Everly had met and it was funny to watch them. Everly was into Melissa. She is 6 months old so she wanted to play. Melissa could care less, she didn't have a clue what was going on. It will be fun to see them playing when Melissa gets older.

We where scheduled to go next week for her appointment, but they moved us up today. Melissa is doing well, she is 11lbs 11oz (75%), 22 inches long (25%). She got her 4 shots today so we will she if they effect her in anyway!

Today I turned 2 months old! My mom says I'm cooing more and smiling a lot more. I can play on my playmate for 30-45 minutes and then it's time to move on to something else. I have been sleep good at night, but not good during the day. My mom thinks I need a 2 hour nap in the morning and then in the afternoon. I think I only need one 30 minute nap in the morning and the afternoon. I'm afraid I will miss out on something if I sleep.
I go for my 2 month checkup on August 27th and get 4 shots, I'm not looking forward to that at all. My dad and mom can't wait to find out how much I weigh.
Here is a picture of my mom when she was 2 months old and one of me. What do you think, do I look like my mom? We don't have a picture of my dad when he was a baby. You won't hurt my moms feelings if you say I look like my daddy! We would love to read your comments.

Melissa's first swim party
On Friday Melissa was invited to a swimming party for our friend Luisa. Luisa had her 3rd Birthday Party at the pool. Melissa is to young to be in the water and plus it was way to hot to have her in the direct sun. We only stay for an hour and had get her home and out of the heat.

On Thursday went had dinner with my cousin Tara and her family. Tara has two kids Logan who is 6 1/2 and Taylor who is 3 months old. We had a good visit and can't wait for Melissa and Taylor to play together.

My Aunt Peyton came to see me this past week. This is my moms big sister! My mom tells me she is funny. She had to take me to Whole Foods because she is a health nut and vegetarian. I had a good time with her and can't wait to see her again.

Melissa had her second appointment with the CF doctors and they where so happy to see she has gain weight! She weighs 10lb 2oz and is 21 1/2 in long! They said to keep up the good work with her and to come back in 6 weeks! We are so blessed that she is healthy and doing great!

We have had a busy weekend! Grandma DD (my mom) came into town to see Melissa, not Paul and I just Melissa! We got to go on two dates while she was here! Thursday we went out for dinner and then Saturday night we went to the movies. Paul and I haven't been to the movies in months. We stop going at the end of the pregnancy.
Friday Melissa got to meet my co-workers and friends at Southwest.
Saturday we went to our Uncle Sherwood's retirement party and Melissa got to meet more cousins! Our Uncle Sherwood retired from Santa Fe railroad after 42 years! Wow 42 years at the same company you don't hear that very often!
My sister Peyton is coming in on Wednesday to finally meet Melissa!
This is what we Paul and I came home to after our date on Thursday. Grandma DD spoiling Melissa. She had her bath and her tummy was full.

Last night was a big night for Melissa. She got to go to a Birthday party for our Aunt Laura! Melissa did good at the resturant.

Well Melissa slept last night with her arms out and did great! This is what she wanted and she is happy! I hope she continues to like this and sleep better!
